The carved and decorated wooden pre-Reformation altar piece is a fine example of medieval craftsmanship. It was restored in Vienna in 1896
The church has a strongroom to the left of the altar as you face it. It was here that all valuables were secured by the villagers when threatened by outsiders. The door has a single very complicated lock that operates wrought iron bolts on each of its sides.
