A familiar landmark, this neo-Gothic edifice dates from 1905 but is often thought to be much older. It was built as a viewing platform and replaced stalls and huts occupied by fishermen, hence its name.
The Guild of Fishermen was responsible for the defence of this stretch of the bank of the River Danube.
